BloomHub is a marketplace where independent sellers ship directly to buyers. Each seller manages their own shipping, which means shipping costs, methods, and timelines vary by seller and product.
Check each seller's shipping policy on their store page before purchasing. Shipping information is also shown on individual product listings.
Seller-Set Shipping
Each seller on BloomHub determines:
• Shipping costs (flat rate, calculated, or free shipping thresholds)
• Shipping methods (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
• Processing time (when items ship after ordering)
• Shipping schedule (some sellers only ship certain days/seasons)
Shipping costs are displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.
Seasonal Shipping
Many plant sellers ship seasonally to ensure plants arrive at the optimal time for planting. Common examples:
• Dahlia tubers: Ship in spring (March-May) when frost risk is past
• Bare roots: Ship during dormancy (late fall through early spring)
• Seeds: Can often ship year-round
• Cuttings: Vary by plant type and seller preference
Check the product listing for specific shipping timeframes. If you have questions about timing, message the seller before purchasing.
Domestic Shipping
BloomHub currently operates within the United States. Most sellers ship to all 50 states, but some may have restrictions:
• Some plants cannot be shipped to certain states due to agricultural regulations
• Sellers in Alaska or Hawaii may have different shipping options
• Certain items may not ship to Puerto Rico or other territories
Shipping restrictions, if any, are noted on product listings.
International Shipping
International shipping is not currently available on BloomHub. Plant material is subject to complex import/export regulations, permits, and inspections. For now, we focus on domestic (US) transactions.
Tracking
Most sellers provide tracking numbers once orders ship. You can find tracking information:
• In your order confirmation email
• On your order page in BloomHub
• By messaging the seller
If you don't receive tracking within the seller's stated processing time, contact them directly.
Plant Packaging
Sellers are responsible for packaging plants appropriately for transit. Good packaging typically includes:
• Protective wrapping (paper, bubble wrap, etc.)
• Secure placement to prevent shifting
• Insulation for temperature-sensitive items
• Appropriate box sizing
If you receive a poorly packaged item, note this in your review to help other buyers.
Delivery Issues
Item Not Received
If tracking shows "delivered" but you didn't receive the package:
• Check around your property, with neighbors, and at any alternate delivery locations
• Wait 24 hours (packages sometimes show delivered prematurely)
• Contact the shipping carrier
• Contact the seller if the package doesn't turn up
Item Arrived Damaged
If your plants arrive damaged:
• Take photos immediately upon opening
• Contact the seller within their stated timeframe (usually 3 days)
• Keep all packaging materials
• See our Refund Policy for more details
Multiple Sellers
If you order from multiple sellers in one checkout:
• Each seller ships their items separately
• You'll receive separate tracking for each seller
• Shipping costs from each seller are combined at checkout
• Orders may arrive at different times
